In Honor of Phi Delta Theta member, Lou Gehrig, Phi Delta Theta has chosen the ALS Foundation as its national philanthropy.

Thousands of dollars are raised each year for the ALS Foundation through the efforts of the General Headquarters and our Phi Delta Theta chapters.

In the Spring, the Phi Delta Theta's conduct a Chilifest in which the proceeds are given to a special person who suffers from ALS. On April 12, 2008, the Phi Delta Theta presented a check for $2,000.00 to Braedon Seymour. Braedon is an elementary student from Amarillo, Texas.
